There was some teams that really impressed us over the weekend, while at the same time, others who we thought were on the way up, ended up disappointing.

Let’s see how the Week 13 NFL Power Rankings Stack Up

1. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons moved to 10-1 this season, going on the road and getting a win over a tough Tampa Bay team. Atlanta had to play physical game, something that many were questioning if they were able to do. The Bucs are a physical team and gave the Falcons all they could handle. But Atlanta showed toughness, and got a big road win.

2. Houston Texans

The Texans are tied with the Falcons for the best record in the NFL at 10-1. They played on Thanksgiving day, and got a big overtime win for a second-straight week. The Texans are just one game up on Baltimore for the No.1 seed in the AFC, with not as much cushion as the Falcons. The Texans look real good though, and they will be a tough out in the playoffs.

3. San Francisco 49ers

Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith? That is the question on the table. But the 49ers can make a Super Bowl run with either. It looks like Kaepernick has the hot hand for now, but don’t be surprised to see Smith even if San Francisco keeps winning. But the 49ers are a great defensive team to begin with, which makes it easier on the quarterback. It was a great win over the Saints on the road on Sunday over the Saint.

4. New England Patriots

The Patriots rolled over the Jets on Thanksgiving night. Tom Brady is playing his best football of the season, and the defense continues to make plays as well. The fate of New England will continue to live and die with how the defense plays.

5. New York Giants

The hot and cold New York Giants are quite entertaining. There is never a dull moment. One week they get dominated by Cincinnati, and the next week they beat the Green Bay Packers by four touchdowns. When the Giants play their best, no team can beat them. But which team will show up?

It was an exciting weekend of football that started on Thanksgiving Day.
