2013 NFL Power Rankings For Week 10

Knowshon MorenoWe are bringing back the power rankings again for this week. As we’ve said in week past we will do this every couple of weeks or so to let some things develop versus going week to week and form more identity about how the league is shaping up.

Heading into Week 10 of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the only unbeaten team. Scheduling wise though they’ve had it quite easy, though that is all about to change over the next four weeks following their bye this Sunday.

But despite the fact that Kansas City is undefeated, are they really then the best team? Let’s form our opinion and see if you agree.

  • 1. Denver Broncos

The Broncos enjoyed a week off this past Sunday and will come in refreshed ready to take on the San Diego Chargers. If the defense improves a bit, Denver might be unbeatable barring injuries. Offensively they have too many ways in which they are able to beat you, especially with Knowshon Moreno coming into his own. Peyton Manning have so many targets to throw to on the outside it places a ton of pressure everywhere on the defense.

  • 2. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are a close second behind the Broncos, but having to come back from 21 points down at home to a winless Tampa Bay team isn’t great. Certainly the comeback win was, but to get down to a team like that in the first place isn’t good. That is coming off of a poor performance offensively at St. Louis the week before. But this team won them both and believes that they can win in any situation. That perhaps is more valuable than anything.

  • 3. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have won four-straight games and are right back in the conversation for the best team in the NFL. San Francisco is firing on all cylinders, leading the NFL in rushing. When a team runs the ball well and plays great defense, that automatically makes them a fantastic candidate to win the Super Bowl because that’s what it takes to win playoff games.

  • 4. Kansas City Chiefs

If the Chiefs win their next game, they will rocket up to the No.1 team in the NFL. After the bye they come out and play Denver in Week 11 so things could get very interesting. The Chiefs will get the chance to silence all of the doubters and critics of their 9-0 start to the season with a win over the Broncos.

  • 5. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are a difficult team to place because we want to put them higher but the teams in front are every bit as deserving as well. In fact, one could throw all of these teams in a hat, pick them out one by one in order and that could be the power rankings that we’d be fine with as well. But the order we are going with sets the Colts at five this week.
