Five Reasons The Atlanta Falcons Can Win Super Bowl XLVII

The Atlanta Falcons faithful have had plenty of reasons to be happy about the accomplishments of the team over the last several seasons. They have put together a very strong team, that produces wins and playoff appearances.

But with that, you always want more.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, regular season success has not yet translated into the postseason. Each of the last two years, Atlanta has gone one-and-done in the playoffs. That includes an inept two-point outing against the New York Giants last season.

But coming into 2012, I think we will see a team with a killer instinct. The addition of Julio Jones last season has given quarterback Matt Ryan a huge weapon. jones is expeccted to produced big things in 2012, opposite Roddy White. The duo might make up the best tandem in the league.

Combine that with running back Michael Turner, and there doesn’t look like any reason Atlanta should not be a contender.

With that in mind, here are 5 reasons why Atlanta can win the 2013 Super Bowl

1. Matt Ryan – Ryan had a career year statistically in 2011, and we expect him to rival those numbers again in 2012 with Jone and white leading the way. Of course, an ageless Tony Gonzalez will help the cause too.

2. Julio Jones – By the end of the 2012 NFL season, Jones will be considered among the top-five receivers in the league.

3. A frazzled Saints team – With New Orleans having such a turbulent offseason, we think it will be an easier time for Atlanta to win the division. In fact, Carolina might be the Falcons’ biggest competition.

4. Asante Samuel – The deal to acquire Samuel will pay off for Atlanta. Samuel is a big gambler/big reward defensive back. The Falcons need a player like him in the secondary.

5. Jaquizz Rogers – Rogers will be very important this season. With Turner taking the brunt of the rushing load, Rogers will need to be effective for the Falcons to be relevant later in the season come the playoffs.
