What We Learned In Week 15 Of The NFL Season

Falcons vs GiantsWith respect to the fact that the Monday night Football game between the New York Jets and the Tennessee Titans still needing to be played, we think that we can go forward with stating what we learned in Week 15 in the NFL.

Monday Night simply doesn’t matter. It’s unfortunate too because it’s the last Monday Night Football game of the season.

Oh well, who cares, we had some great matchups on Sunday, and some great games to rehash what all went down, and how the playoff picture sets up for the final two weeks of the regular season.

Here are 3 Things We Learned From Sunday To Know Going Into Week 16 Of The Season

1. The Green Bay Packers Win The NFC North

The Packers locked up the NFC North division on Sunday with their win over the Chicago Bears. The Packers are now 10-4 on the season and in a battle with Atlanta and San Francisco for a top-two seed in the postseason and a first round by. Green Bay is two games behind Atlanta and a half-game behind San Francisco. It will be interesting to see how that tie for the 49ers plays.

2. The Good Teams Don’t Let One Loss Turn Into Another

The Atlanta Falcons and the Houston Texans did not look good last week, each losing their second game of the season. Coming into Week 15, both had challenges. The Falcons faced the Giants, while the Texans took on the Colts. Both passed with flying colors. For Atlanta, it was a dominating 34-0 victory over New York. For Houston, an impressive 29-17 win over Indianapolis, in a game that really wasn’t even that close. Both continue to remain in the driver’s seat for home-field in their respective conferences.

3. The NFC East Race Should Be Fun

There is a three-way tie at 8-6 atop the NFC East. The Giants lost, and both the Redskins and Cowboys won to pull even with New York. We could still see two of these teams make the playoff as well. The Giants have the worst of the division record currently, and it’s actually Dallas and Washington who both control their own division destiny. But all three control their own playoff destiny.
