Breaking Down The Denver Broncos And New England Patriots NFL Season Win Total Odds For 2013

Tom Brady And Peyton ManningBovada Sportsbook recently released win total betting lines for all 32 teams in the NFL for bettors to jump in on. Obviously with the season still roughly three months aways, it provides plenty of time to lay down a wager.

The win totals per team certainly vary, but there are two teams that stand out above the rest when looking at the highest over/under win mark for the year.

That would be the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.

Both the Broncos and Patriots have been installed at 11.5 wins on the betting lines. That means for a wager on the over total to win, at least 12 wins is needed. For a bet on the under, it’s 11 wins or fewer on the year.

Let’s check out the schedules of each team and see how they might fare down the line for the 2013 NFL regular season.

Denver starts out of the gate with games against the last two Super Bowl champions. First it’s a meeting at home with Baltimore, before then going on the road to take on the New York Giants. Denver will play the entire NFC East this season, meaning games against Washington, Dallas, and Philadelphia are all on the schedule as well.

The typical AFC West division schedule is there, but games against Indianapolis out of the AFC South, and then against New England out of the AFC East make this schedule pretty tough on paper. Denver winning 12 or 13 games wouldn’t be surprising, but then again neither would a 10-6 record.

The Patriots cross-conference division this year is the NFC South. This includes the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, as well as Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. And lest we forget that Tampa Bay acquired Darrelle Revis in the offseason as well.

Outside of those games plus the division games, the Patriots face the AFC North, including the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Plus there is the Sunday night game in November against the Broncos.

Oddsmakers at Bovada might know what they are doing by setting the bar at 11.5 wins, but there is no question that both Denver and New England will have their work cut out for them this season.
