Ranking The Top-Five NFL Quarterbacks To-Date In 2013

Peyton ManningThroughout the course of this season, we’ve done plenty of power rankings where individual teams are assessed and rated. This week though we are going to take a new approach and singling out the quarterbacks in the NFL in a power ranking of sorts. With this being a pivotal time in the season, teams with the best quarterbacks will give themselves the best opportunities to win. And while of course football is no one-man team, it certainly helps to have a guy under center that can make any throw asked of him. Continue reading

Is It Time To Jump On Board With The Carolina Panthers?

Carolina PanthersOk, count us in as jumping on board with the Carolina Panthers now. They’ve done enough to this point to warrant some recognition. They have won seven games in a row, and during that streak have victories over teams like San Francisco and New England. Quarterback Cam Newton is impressing, and the Panthers are playing well on both sides of the ball.

Oddsmakers certainly are on the Carolina bandwagon. The latest edition of 2014 Super Bowl betting lines found at Bovada Sportsbook have them fifth overall (10/1). They are behind only Seattle, Denver, New Orleans, and New England. Continue reading

Week 12 NFL Power Rankings; Panthers Jump Into Top-Five After Monday Night Win

Carolina PanthersThere are no more undefeated teams in the NFL following the Kansas City Chiefs’ loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. The two will rematch in two Sundays so the Chiefs will get a quick opportunity to exact revenge on their field.

Outside of that monster matchup that took place, there were plenty of other games that set the tone for teams this season. As we do every few weeks, we have reformulated our latest NFL power rankings heading into Week 12 of the season. Continue reading

Week 11 About To Be A Measuring Stick For Kansas City Chiefs

Alex Smith How big is the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos? Well, the NFL doesn’t often flex its schedule to adjust for a game, but that is exactly what it did in this case. Originally the primetime game on Sunday night was between the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants. But that game was moved to 4:25 pm ET switching places with the Chiefs and Broncos.

With Kansas City being undefeated and Denver having just one loss this season, this makes it not just a great game to watch, but a very important one. Continue reading

2013 NFL Power Rankings For Week 10

Knowshon MorenoWe are bringing back the power rankings again for this week. As we’ve said in week past we will do this every couple of weeks or so to let some things develop versus going week to week and form more identity about how the league is shaping up.

Heading into Week 10 of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the only unbeaten team. Scheduling wise though they’ve had it quite easy, though that is all about to change over the next four weeks following their bye this Sunday.

But despite the fact that Kansas City is undefeated, are they really then the best team? Let’s form our opinion and see if you agree. Continue reading

2013 NFL Season Halfway Predictions; Division Winners, Conference Champions, Super Bowl Winner

2013 NFL Power Rankings Week 8; Kansas City Last Remaining Undefeated Team

Luck vs. ManningEntering Week 8 of the NFL season, raise your hand if you had the Kansas City Chiefs as the last team this year to be undefeated? Go ahead, not all at once now.

Didn’t think so.

But that is exactly what we are left with at roughly the halfway mark of the year, with just one unbeaten team. Kansas City defeated Houston on Sunday to push their record to 7-0, while the Denver Broncos dropped to the Indianapolis Colts to fall to 6-1. That means that the Broncos actually trail by one game in their own division, yet many still feel that they might be the best team in the league in spite of the loss on the road to the Colts. Three Teams Below .500 That Can Still Make A Playoff Run

Matt RyanNFL analysts throw out statistics all the time about teams in certain positions having the chance to make the playoffs, and how many teams in history have done various things. At this point in the season through six games, it’s pretty clear for the majority of teams as to who the contenders are going to be for the rest of the way. But it’s not the case for every single one.

There are some teams that are under performing, but still have the potential to string together some wins if they are able to generate some momentum. Continue reading

NFL Power Rankings for Week 6 Of The 2013 Season

Alex Smith Predicting the way the first six weeks in the 2013 NFL season have gone thus far would have been pretty difficult. We’ve got teams who were highly thought of tanking, and teams that many didn’t give much of a chance soaring high. Whether or not there are pretenders with solid records or contenders with poor records at this point will work itself out down the line.

As it stands now though, we have our top-five NFL teams according to our power rankings that we’ve formed. It’s not just about record here at NFLSeasonSchedules.com it’s about the quality wins, and the way they’ve looked on the field.
